Ben Cramer knows the needs of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and those struggling with the effects of the current economy. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, Ben experienced the many challenges and rewards of running a small business. He joined Burton Law, in part, to help other entrepreneurs on their journey.
Ben’s practice focuses on forming and advising small businesses, business and appellate litigation, bankruptcy, tax planning, and tax disputes. He has worked with clients in the web development, high tech, e-commerce, manufacturing, packaging, education, professional services, retail, and non-profit industries. Ben’s experience includes his solo practice and working as an associate in the litigation practice group of a large firm in downtown Cincinnati where he focused his practice on appellate litigation, government law, and business disputes.
Ben has considerable governmental and judicial experience, having spent a year clerking for a federal trial judge in Washington, DC, and two years with a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ben has taught appellate practice as an adjunct assistant professor of law and is admitted to practice law in Ohio and the District of Columbia, along with a number of federal courts.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association where he is Secretary of the Solo / Small Firm Committee, the National Association of Tax Professionals, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He is also an active volunteer with the Cincinnati Volunteer Lawyers Program, providing pro bono legal services to low income members of the community.
