Chad E. Burton
Chad Burton is the founding attorney of Burton Law LLC. He grew up in Westerville, outside of Columbus, Ohio. In 2001, Chad graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. In 2004, he graduated, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University with a juris doctor degree.
Chad is active in several professional organizations. Chad is on the Council of Delegates for the Ohio State Bar Association and recently completed two terms as Chair of the OSBA's Young Lawyers Section. He has served as a member of the Dayton Bar Association’s Board of Trustees and as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division. Chad currently is a barrister in the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court and a member of the American Bar Association.
Outside the legal profession, in January 2010, Chad became Vice Chair of the Board of the Trustees for Unified Health Solutions, a local not-for-profit organization. He also has served on the Council for Epiphany Lutheran Church and the Board for the Miami Valley Teen Coalition.
Chad regularly gives presentations on topics ranging from civil trial practice, appellate practice, electronic discovery, and estate planning, among others.
Chad has been recognized as a Rising Star in the Ohio Super Lawyers publication. In 2008, the Ohio State Bar Foundation presented him with a Community Service Award For Lawyers 40 and Under.
Chad is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts, including the State of Ohio, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Chad lives in Centerville with his wife, Brooke, three-year-old daughter, Ainsley, and eight-month-old daughter, Ella.
